African drumming and dance group, Roots of Life, gave a crowd-pleasing, high energy performance Wednesday night as part of Schlow's 2011 Adult Summer Reading program, Novel Destinations.

Readers Garden Now Open

Our Readers Garden is now open! The entrance is just past the CATA office, on Beaver. You will find a small, quiet spot to rest during the hectic Festival days, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Two new benches are installed in memory of Peter Lang. This is the first time we have opened the garden to the public - enjoy! (No pets, please!)

Breakfast Serial starts today!

The new Breakfast Serial, sponsored by Centre County Reads, starts today in the Centre Daily Times. The story will be published in the weekend editions on Saturday and Sunday. Orphan Journey Home by Liza Ketchum is a story of four pioneer children who, against all odds, make their way alone back to their home in Kentucky. These are great stories for reading aloud and discussing.
